Before you hire anybody, ask

• Ask what is behind the siding — whether they will replace damaged sheathing or house wrap, and how that is priced.
• Ask how trim, soffits and fascia are handled at the corners and openings.
• Ask to see their licence and insurance certificate, and check the names and dates.
